CUGE Research is the research branch of the Centre of Urban Greenery & Ecology (CUGE) at the National Parks Board. We undertake scientific research and translate the research outcomes into guidelines and standards for application. Our research focuses on application of greenery in highly urbanized settings for the benefits of the city dwellers, the city’s living environment and its ecology, and its long-term sustainability. We also strive to develop new frontiers in urban greenery and ecology concepts and application for our city, and contribute to national efforts in sustainable development.
CUGE Research works in close partnership with other research institutions. Our current collaborators are National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
